Team Policies
These are some of the many policies and regulations that all rowers should know.
Highlights
- Team Dinners
On Fridays before regattas, one of our team families hosts, with the assistance of one or more other parents, a team dinner. This is an important function of preparing for a race. The host, location and map for the dinner are posted the week of the regatta on the Volunteers page.
- Regattas
On Fridays before regattas, the coaches will tell the rowers what time they are expected. Please play close attention to what they say. DO NOT rely on the VASRA site for this information.
- Rowers' Nutrition
- Attached is a guide to nutrition for rowers. Read carefully. Regatta snacks should adhere closely to these requirements.
- Race Day Food
Forget everything that you remember about Race Day food. The following handout has been given to all rowers. Please read carefully. Don't boink on race day!
- Crew Fees
Team fees are due in installments, beginning with a $100 deposit within two weeks of the start of winter conditioning. The remaining three can be paid in installments: payments are: $100, due 19 Dec.; $125 due min-Jan.; and $125 or any balance is due mid-Feb, before water practice starts.
