Board of Directors
The Mount Vernon High School Crew Team Booster Board of Directors is the governing body of the team. In conjunction with the team coaches, the board sets priorities for fundraising, equipment purchases and policies. This is a voluntary organization staffed by current and former MV Crew Team parents. The Board meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm in room E106 at the high school. We welcome all interested parents.
We post the agenda's for booster meetings a few days in advance of the meetings:
New Board Positions Open for 2010-2011
MV Crew board is made up of the following positions: President, Vice President, treasurer, secretary, volunteer coordinator, OLOC, VASRA rep. fundraiser coordinator, and web master. If you are interested in any of these positions for next year please let our Nominations Committee (Mary Pryor at mary.pryor@fcps.edu or Susanne Bolton at ascbolton@cox.net ) or Nancy Restifo know. Currently we have openings for 6 of these positions.
Crew Parent Pot Luck Dinner
will be held on Friday March 26 at Coach Muir's house which is at 9426 Forrest Haven Drive, starting around 6:15. This is a great time to meet the parents and learn the ins and outs about crew and to have any questions answered that you might need answered. I am sorry that I won't be able to be there myself, I will be picking up Lisa Hermes (for those of you who remember her from last year) from the airport.

We also have the Mount Vernon High School Crew Parents group on Facebook. Please join. This is an opportunity for parents to have informal exchange. Experienced parents can answer all those questions that new parents have. If you are already on FB, request membership in the group. If cannot find it, ask Cathleen Lewis (Alex Tamberg's mom) to invite you (lewiscs@cox.net). No rowers are allowed in this group, so there will be no eye-rolling.
